This class for intermediate and advanced students will focus on creating pieces that accentuate your potted plants, beautify your garden, attract pollinators, and support the birds that add vibrancy to your outdoor space. In the class, students will explore both wheel throwing and hand-building methods. Students must be able to center, pull, and shape fundamental forms on the pottery wheel. Adults aged 18 and over.
Dates: Wednesdays, June 24th – August 12th, 6-8:30 p.m.
Required tools: A pottery tool kit, at least three 12” hardboard or Medex bats, and an assortment of ribs and trimming tools. Optional tools: A bat system such as those made by StudioPro, Northstar, or Dirty Girls.
Class fee: (member): $290, (non-member): $310. Several pounds of clay and a firing credit are included in all class fees. Additional clay and firing are available for purchase.
